Ukrainian and Dutch defense companies signed 5 documents on cooperation

On March 20, representatives of the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine and Ukrainian entrepreneurs met with a delegation from the Netherlands. 

The Ukrainian side was represented by Deputy Ministers of Strategic Industries Serhiy Boyev and Anna Gvozdyar, CEO of Ukrainian Defense Industry Herman Smetanin, CEO of the Brave1 Defense Tech Cluster Natalia Kushnerska, Deputy Chief of Military-Technical Cooperation of the Ministry of Defense Andriy Retz, and co-founder of the Association of Ukrainian Defense Companies Denys Svyatokum. 

The Netherlands were represented by Minister of Defense Kajsa Ollongren, Director General for Policy at the Ministry of Defense Koen Davidse, Head of NLD TF Ukraine at the Ministry of Defense Simon Wouda, Commissioner Military Production at the Ministry of Economic Affairs Jan Christiaan Dicke, Defense Attaché Hans Hoppenreijs, and Ambassador of the Netherlands to Ukraine Jennes de Mol.

During the meeting, Ukrainian and Dutch companies signed 5 documents on cooperation in the defense industry.

“This first trade delegation is a concrete implementation of the Security Arrangement that the Netherlands and Ukraine signed 3 weeks ago. This states that both countries will commit themselves to cooperate between the Dutch and Ukrainian defense industries. Both counties will benefit from this cooperation. There is a lot that is possible and necessary, especially in the field of high-tech innovation.Technological innovations are becoming increasingly important in war, making the exchange of knowledge and practical experiences indispensable,” said Minister of Defense of the Netherlands Kajsa Ollongren.

The signed documents relate to cooperation between Ukrainian and Dutch companies in the field of defense sector innovations.

"I am grateful to the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands for supporting Ukraine in its struggle for freedom and independence. An important part of this support is cooperation in the development of the Ukrainian defense industry. During today's meeting we discussed the priority areas of cooperation between defense companies of Ukraine and the Netherlands. These areas include the joint development of autonomous systems, AI-based solutions and other technological products. We plan to develop a number of joint projects in the near future," said Deputy Minister of Strategic Industries Sergiy Boyev.
