According to Oleksandr Kamyshin, the Minister for Strategic Industries, today Ukraine can offer the best conditions for cooperation to international manufacturers of weapons and ammunition. In an interview with the leading Italian newspaper "La Repubblica", he told how the Ukrainian defense industry is increasing the pace of production, why large arms manufacturers are opening their own factories here despite active hostilities, and how Ukraine is fighting corruption in the defense industry.

Ukraine will be able to become the arsenal of the free world, and the defense industry will develop dynamically for decades. Therefore, there are great opportunities for large international companies to produce and test their product in the conditions of a real war. "Produce in Ukraine, test products in Ukraine, conduct research and development in Ukraine, modernize the product in Ukraine. At the end of the war, they will have the best product," Kamyshin emphasized.

In addition, the head of the Ministry of Strategic Industries said that the domestic defense industry managed to increase the pace of ammunition production, but it still remains insufficient to meet the needs of the army. "From January to July, we produced ten times more than in 2022. We are talking about mortars, cannon shells and ammunition," the Minister noted. He also added that Ukraine is constantly looking for partners to strengthen weapons production capacity and join forces so that the army gets the necessary resources faster.

The Minister for Strategic Industries stressed the need for zero tolerance for corruption in wartime. "Our team involves young people in the structure of the company, they do not want to spoil their reputation. There have never been any corruption scandals under my leadership. Corruption in peacetime is a crime, in wartime it is treason," he concluded.
