Thanks to the Brave1 project, domestic companies received grants for more than $1 million US dollars for the production of high-tech weapons. This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine for Innovations, Development of Education, Science and Technologies — Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov.
"These are 57 unique developments that have passed a thorough inspection by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. More than 500 military experts have recognized them as essential to our victory. Some of the technologies are already saving the lives of our soldiers at the front and helping to destroy the enemy," Mykhailo Fedorov said.
According to him, domestic manufacturers have received grants for the production of combat robots with turrets, drones with artificial intelligence, maritime drones, and EW countermeasures systems.
"And these are only Ukrainian developments that we can talk about," Mykhailo Fedorov emphasized.
The Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine expressed confidence that it is domestic solutions that will help Ukraine gain a technological advantage on the battlefield.
We remind that Brave1 is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff of the Armed Forces, The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, the Ministry of Strategic Industries, and the Ministry of Economy. The cluster brings together hundreds of top developers and militaries for the best interaction. Here the Defense Forces can set specific tasks for developers, and companies can get specialized support and a grant for product development.
In total, Brave1 has already received 583 projects, 305 of which have passed defense examination. Another 19 projects are at the stage of concluding contracts for $315,000.
