The enterprises of the Ukrainian defense industry began to work much more efficiently. Work on increasing the production of ammunition continues. However, a powerful defense industrial complex is a matter of years, not months. Oleksandr Kamyshin, the Minister for Strategic Industries, said in an interview with the Pressing.
He noted that after his appointment as Minister, he inspected factories and many of them did not work on weekends. "It was strange for me in the second year of the war. Currently, all factories in the system work rhythmically, harmoniously and at the highest level," says Kamyshin.
In addition, according to the head of the Ministry of Strategic Industries, the defense industry is a branch of the economy that is actively growing, attracting people, and offering a decent salary. "I recently visited 5 factories in one city, and I will say that the average salary at these factories is higher than in the region. On some, it is several times larger. We hire dozens of people - this is a good indicator. Therefore, I believe that the defense industry will become the engine of economic recovery, and Ukraine will be the arsenal of the free world," Kamyshin concluded.
